Kemal Tufan - The Keel
Turkish sculptor Kemal Tufan was born in Istanbul in 1962. He has
participated in many solo & group exhibitions in several European
countries but also in China, Korea, Brasil & Argentina.
This monumental sculpture which represents the keel of a large boat
is made of 27 connected blocks of volcanic lava.
The length is about 8 meters & the total weight around 11 tons.
Properly placed, this sculpture is a powerful & dramatic artwork which strikes for size, colour & texture.
It can be easily integrated in many different locations both
urban & rural.
