Francisca Cerda
Francisca Cerda was born 3 April, 1943 in Santiago de Chile.
She studied between 1961 and 1965 at the “Facultad de Artes de la Universidad de Chile”, graduating in sculpture.
She completed her formation as a sculptor at the “Universidad Catolica” in Chile in the years 1971 and 1972.

From 1979 to 1984 she was appointed professor at the “Instituto de Arte Contemporaneo”. Since 1982 she taught for about ten years sculpture and ceramic art in her own studio.
Presently she is working as a professor at the “Facultad de Artes de la Universidad Metropolitana” and as an artist she is experimenting with a wide range of materials such as bronze, fiberglass, cement and plywood.
