Cynthia Sah
Born in Hong Kong, Cynthia Sah graduated from Columbia University, New York, USA. She now lives in Pietrasanta, Italy.
Cynthia Sah's recent sculptures are shapes of fluidity in stillness. Classical in their elegance, and expressive in their subtle sensuality, her works are icons of restful movement.
No excess of decoration mars the rhythmic form, which flows surely and effortlessly through it. Form gently yields by melting downwards, wrapping around an axle or a spine to find the exact moment of stillness.
Cynthia Sah has been awarded numerous prizes and has been commissioned many important public works in Taiwan, Hong Kong, China etc.
